Why KANPU exists
Protective gear only works when riders keep wearing it.
We are comparing cooling temperature, vest construction, weight, fit beneath riding jackets, recharge time and comfort. The aim is not a dramatic laboratory promise. It is a product riders will actually choose on a hot day.
First product direction
A black PCM vest, refined for riding.
Our first product is intended to use a low-profile black carrier with PCM cells distributed across the torso and arms. This concept visual shows the design direction under evaluation; final panel layout, temperature, fit and branding will be decided after physical sample testing.
The meaning behind the name
Cold wind, built for heat.
KANPŪ takes its name from the Japanese word 寒風, meaning “cold wind.” It captures what our products are intended to deliver: a controlled sense of cooling relief for people who keep moving when the temperature rises.
The name also reflects a personal connection: KANPU's founder spent nearly five years in Japan. The macron above Ū marks the long vowel in the Japanese reading; we use plain KANPU for our web address and everyday search.A second heat problem
Could PCM cooling help Dubai's dogs too?
We are researching a separate pet-cooling concept with owners and veterinary input. A dog product would require its own safe temperature range, sizing, materials and supervised-use testing. It will not be a resized human vest.
